self mastery.

WOW. it's official.

Gregorian calendar states we have entered 2008.

are you stoked?

I have been relaying the thought that we are in charge of our own lives and that with that thought we can do a lot with the idea of mastering the self.

I have said that over and over in my head, and it took a phone conversation with a beloved friend last night to solidify the term in my brain, self mastery. Ha. Just flip the words and you have a lovely sounding thought to go with.

Self mastery....and under that the ideas of

self acceptance

self healing

self love

self guidance

self mentoring

self

self self

self self self self

hehe.

I am going to work on my SELF this year.

Me as my very own beautiful entity....a vessel in which I can share my visions and dreams and passions with the universe.

Because in the end I've always said I wanted to be a part of a conscious community that is supportive and inspiring and creating....but to be a part of that community I must pull inside to be the best god dammed version of me that I can muster.

LOTS of me time....don't be scared, I'm not pulling into my cave forever, just whenever, forever. hehe.

Meditation, tea, reading, writing, drawing, sewing, cooking, laughing, crying....experiencing the self on an intimate level.

ALSO

I am working hard on my website so it will be ready for all of you to enjoy.

featherchild.com....keep yourself dialed into that one.

in retrospect 2007 was the best year yet. In the present 2008 is already kicking ass and taking names.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I TRULY APPRECIATE YOU EXTENDING AND CASTING ME INTO YOUR WEB WHERE I WILL FIT AND STAY FIXED FOR AS LONG AS YOU CHOOSE TO KEEP WEAVING ME THERE.

i am dynamic....i am no static being.

constant, ever present, and attentive.

i ask you to do the same. for me. but more importantly....really the most IMPORTANT, for you.

become the master of your self and then we will do no wrong.

every opportunity will be growth, there can be no decay as we root out our unconscious behaivor.

we will affirm our love and faith and trust in ourselves everyday

as Louise L. Hay would put it

'In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole and complete. Each one of us, myself included, experiences the richness and fullness of life in ways that are meaningful to us. I now look at the past with love and choose to learn from my old experiences. There is no right or wrong, nor good or bad. The past is over and done. There is only the experience of the moment. I love myself for bringing myself through this past and into the present moment. I share what and who I am, for I know we are all one in Spirit. All is well in my world.'

To finalize. We are incredible and capable and ready, we must refine what we have and put forth who we are into a larger community so we can grow and keep growing.

I like Alex Grey's artist prayer and I will share it with you now.

Creator of the Universe,

How infinite and astonishing

Are your worlds.

Thank you

For your sacred art

And sustaining presence.

Divine Imagination,

Forgive my blindness,

Open all my eyes.

Reveal the light of truth.

Let original beauty

Guide my every stroke.

Universal Creativity,

Flow through me,

From my heart

Through my mind to my hand,

Infuse my work with spirit

To feed hungry souls.

We are one.

I love you as I love myself.

I hold you in the highest respects.

Namaste.

Moonchild

"self" mastery...ahhh how innocent a concept...yet so difficult to achieve...first one must define the idea of "self" !!is it someone unique in their abilities and in their perceptions ?? what is known versus what is believed ?? so many levels of "self" to know let alone attain to...as one becomes more it is something new to master!! there is the endless search for oneness with GOD...yet we cannot begin to do so without becoming "one" with another...so then to master your self...may be to master the fear of seperateness...for when you lose your "self" in another...then you find your "self" indeed !!
